About Monte Edwards

Life begin for me in a small town in New Mexico. After many experiences growing up with cows and horses (not all pleasant), I reluctantly was moved to a larger city where I knew no one. This is where I became a young man with a different look on life. I realized that to make a living, I would have to venture out into the world and make a living that did not include cows and horses. I could have gone to college, but think in terms of the draft (yes, I am that old), I joined the Marine Corps. In 90 days you go from a teenager to a man. I could write a book on the life in the Marine Corps, but suffice to say that I served my time in Vietnam and in combat. After 10 years, a marriage and 2 boys, I return to being a civilian and worked for a Telco until I was offered an early retirement. The great thing about retirement is doing so many different things. Learing from life experiences gives a person a unique view on life. Each is different. Now I am back to raising cows, building a house, and generally enjoying life. I believe in God, Country, Family and freedom from Government intervention.
